I recently bought an elelctrical cord at a major discount store.

Guess what? When I removed it from it's packaging, I found a warning that said something like this: "Warning this product contains lead, a substance known  to cause

brain damage in children. It may also cause reproductive harm in adults. Wash your hands after useing".

Yea sure, do you always wash your hands after useing an extention cord? Of course the kids alwayis do ! ? ! ? ! ? The little ones for sure ! ? ! ? ! ?

That warning did not show from the outside. Guess where it was made? It was made in CHINA, off course.

Lead in paint has been banned in the USA, since 1978. Why do we put up with CHINA shipping that poison to us? ? Lead belongs in car batteries, not in baby food, electrical cords and other items we regularly come in contact with.

I guess we can expect that sort of thing from CHINA ! ! ! If they put poison in baby food, why not in extension cords and toys. Some toys have been recalled because of poison.

Don’t we make anything here in the USA any more? Why do we have such a trade deficit. It must be because of all those "Free Trade Agreements." Other countries are free to rip us off. "Free Trade Agreements" are not FAIR. to us

ANOTHER THING:

What we need is FAIR and BALANCED trade. Like Dollar for Dollar, Yen for YEN, PASO for PASO, EURO FOR EURO. We should be charging every country the same IMPORT DUTY as they charge us.  We should be  buying only the same amount from them as they buy form us. FAIR and BALANCED TRADE would be fair to everyone.

Another thing: We BETTER become ENERGY INDEPENDENT ! ! ! There is an awful lot of natural gas available in the USA. Natural GAS can be made into gasoline, diesel, and aviation fuel.

White County ARKANSAS is booming because of the Natural Gas wells being drilled and because of the pipe lines being laid.

It does not seem to be widely known, but for a few years it has been possible to make gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel from natural gas. No not compressed natural gas (CNG). That is one

of the things we need to be doing to break our dependance on foreign oil.

Gasoline, diesel and avation fuel made from natural gas

is cleaner burning, than gasoline, diesel and avation fuel made from oil.

You know greener ! ! !

Natural gas is our second most abundant fuel. It may even turn out to be our most abundant fuel. It is known where a lot of it is. There may be even more natral gas that has not yet been found. 

We better be developing more and more alternate power sources  ! ! ! We are missing a lot of Solar power and wind power.
